Job Summary

Assess and monitor critically ill patients, operate advanced life-support equipment, and administer complex medications in a high-acuity ICU environment. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines and central venous pressure, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses to maintain regulatory compliance and continuity of care. Provide education to patients and families regarding treatments and recovery expectations, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize outcomes. Adhere to strict infection control protocols and engage in quality improvement initiatives. This 13-week travel assignment in Omaha, Nebraska, requires one year of recent ICU experience, a valid RN license, and CCRN certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Travel ICU RN
  • One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to move about
  • Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
  • Must be able to push
  • Must be able to pull
  • Must be able to bend
  • Must have the ability to grasp
  • Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
  • Must have the ability to push/pull
  • Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
  • Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
  • Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
  • Must possess visual acuity
  • Must be able to effectively communicate
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Must be able to work in high-acuity settings
