Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care activities for neonatal patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a Level IV NICU environment. Utilize the nursing process to develop comprehensive plans, perform ongoing assessments, and respond independently to emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members while advocating for patients and families. Evaluate rapidly changing conditions, identify risks, and apply evidence-based practice to optimize outcomes. Provide individualized education to families based on developmental and cultural needs. Serve as a clinical resource and role model within a supportive, collaborative team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
- Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination, or have passed
- Endorsement in the state of MO
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds and pinch up to 15 pounds
