Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans for neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU environment. Perform ongoing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and respond independently to emergency situations while collaborating with physicians and respiratory therapists. Deliver evidence-based nursing care, advocate for patients and families, and provide individualized education based on developmental and cultural needs. Evaluate rapidly changing conditions to make sound clinical decisions and accurately document patient status and interventions. Support continuous learning among peers and contribute to unit improvement initiatives. Requires AHA Healthcare Provider certification; eligible for Board of Nursing examination or passed. Endorsement in Missouri required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
- Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination, or have passed
- Endorsement in the state of MO
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
- Must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to pinch up to 15 pounds
