Job Summary

Assess neonatal patients and implement comprehensive care plans within a Level IV NICU environment. Monitor patient conditions, respond independently to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to optimize outcomes. Provide evidence-based nursing care, advocate for families, and deliver individualized education based on developmental needs. Evaluate rapidly changing conditions, document interventions accurately, and apply current literature to clinical decisions. Serve as a clinical resource, participate in unit improvement initiatives, and share best practices with colleagues. This role supports the Sisters of Mercy mission and adheres to Arkansas Nurse Practice Act standards. New graduates are encouraged to apply for this October residency cohort.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
  • Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
