Job Summary

Conduct direct patient care activities for neonatal patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a Level IV NICU. Utilize the nursing process to develop comprehensive plans of care, perform ongoing assessments, and deliver evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity environment. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members while responding independently to emergency situations. Provide individualized education to patients and families, advocate for optimal health outcomes, and accurately document patient status and interventions. Evaluate rapidly changing conditions to make sound clinical decisions and identify potential risks proactively. Serve as a clinical resource and role model while participating in unit improvement initiatives and team-building efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
  • Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
