Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU environment. Monitor patient conditions, deliver evidence-based nursing care, and collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to optimize outcomes. Respond independently to emergency situations, advocate for families, and provide individualized education based on developmental and cultural needs. Evaluate rapidly changing conditions, identify risks, and accurately document patient status and interventions. Apply evidence-based practice to clinical decisions and contribute to unit improvement initiatives. Work in a fast-paced setting requiring frequent standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
  • Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
  • Must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pinch up to 15 pounds
