Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for complex neonatal patients while coordinating with ancillary departments. Monitor patient conditions, respond independently to emergencies, and advocate for families to optimize health outcomes. Utilize evidence-based practice to make sound clinical decisions, document status changes, and provide individualized education based on developmental needs. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members in a Level IV NICU environment. Serve as a clinical resource and role model while participating in unit improvement initiatives. This October residency cohort offers mentorship and support for new graduates transitioning into high-acuity neonatal care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
  • Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
