Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU environment. Utilize the nursing process to develop comprehensive care plans, monitor conditions, and respond independently to emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes while advocating for patients and families. Provide individualized education based on developmental needs and support continuous learning among peers. Document patient status and interventions accurately, applying evidence-based practice to clinical decisions. Serve as a clinical resource and role model while participating in unit improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
  • Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
