Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for neonatal patients while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. Monitor patient conditions, respond independently to emergencies, and advocate for families within professional nursing standards and the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act. Deliver evidence-based care, provide individualized education, and document status accurately. Evaluate rapidly changing conditions, identify risks, and apply current literature to clinical decisions. Serve as a clinical resource, participate in unit improvement initiatives, and share best practices with colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved professional nursing program
- Must be eligible to take the Board of Nursing examination
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required, or completion within the probationary period
