Job Summary
Develop and implement an athlete-centered coaching philosophy; teach positive values and ethical conduct; ensure safe facilities and equipment; monitor conditions and modify participation as needed; recognize injuries and provide immediate care; design and implement training, conditioning, recovery, and nutrition programs; foster social and emotional growth and leadership among athletes; organize practices to maximize performance and efficiency; utilize scouting, planning, and analysis for games; manage games and communicate with parents and community; maintain fiscal and organizational records; implement and document an emergency action plan; participate in required certifications within the first year; comply with all related school and athletic regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association approved course in the care and prevention of athletic injuries by end of first year of coaching
- Accredited Intersch scholastic Coach certification from the National Federation of High Schools by end of first year of coaching
