Job Summary
Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety, and personal needs for patients in a multidisciplinary team setting. Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in the medical office by performing delegated patient care duties once competency is established. Schedule runs 8a-5p.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant
- High school degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Skilled in operating the phone system, computer, fax machine and copy machine
- Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public
- High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
- Two (2) years of experience in a medical office setting
