Job Summary
Lead day-to-day delivery of Next Generation Sequencing testing services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and turnaround targets are met. Drive GMP compliance, quality systems, audits, investigations, CAPAs, and risk management activities while overseeing laboratory operations, equipment, and facilities. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of NGS workflows and processes. Develop, train, and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and laboratory staff within the Global Centre of Excellence for Biosafety Testing. This role supports the future of biologics, vaccines, and cell & gene therapies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Significant experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, GCLP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of sequencing workflows, sample preparation, library construction, and data interpretation.
- Proven leadership experience managing laboratory teams, operations, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
