Job Summary
Grader/Sorter role responsible for grading and sorting incoming metal products by appearance and quality, plus general yard cleanup and maintenance. Requires physical work: frequent walking on uneven ground, lifting up to 50 pounds, crouching, bending, reaching, climbing, twisting, pushing/pulling, and good close-detail vision. Must be able to hear and communicate in English. Adheres to Metals Recycling Health, Safety, and Environmental standards; performs clean-up, weed/brush maintenance, scrap sorting, greasing at shear/shredder, and basic repairs/maintenance around yard and railroad as needed. Reports equipment deficiencies, provides support across the yard, and supports safety and operational practices. Emphasis on ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions, willingness to learn, and prior scrap-yard experience preferred. Requires valid driver’s license and compliance with post-offer drug screen and background checks. U.S. applicants must be 18+, Canada 16+. Radius Recycling participates in e-verify.
