Job Summary
Design and develop user interfaces using React.js and Next.js, implementing reusable components and hooks while optimizing applications for performance and scalability. Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, collaborate on backend data exchange, and manage secure authentication workflows. Work closely with designers to translate wireframes into high-quality code, ensuring accessibility and responsive standards, and write unit and integration tests using Jest and Cypress. Optimize Next.js apps for server-side rendering and static site generation, manage CI/CD pipelines, and support production issue resolution within agile teams. This hybrid role requires two days per week at an HPE office, with a focus on accelerating digital transformation outcomes from edge to cloud.
Required Qualifications
- Hybrid work arrangement (average 2 days per week from an HPE office)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of frontend development experience
- At least 2–3 years in React.js/Next.js
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frontend workflows
- Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Context API)
- Familiarity with CSS-in-JS libraries (Styled Components, Emotion, TailwindCSS)
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
- Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Experience implementing secure authentication and session management
- Experience implementing accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design standards
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Experience optimizing Next.js apps for server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and incremental static regeneration (ISR)
- Experience managing builds and deployments using CI/CD pipelines
- Experience ensuring SEO optimization and performance tuning (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with progressive web apps (PWAs) and offline-first design
- Familiarity with frontend security (XSS, CSRF, CORS, JWT)
- Exposure to Node.js and backend frameworks for full-stack development
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for frontend deployments
- React or JavaScript/TypeScript professional certifications
- Cloud Developer certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) for frontend deployments
