Job Summary
Prepare NextGen classrooms weekly and schedule student team leaders and volunteers for Sunday services. Recruit, train, and develop volunteers and lay leaders while ensuring they complete mandated training and maintain healthy boundaries. Collaborate with campus staff to plan and execute events such as Easter, Summer Camp, and Christmas Eve. Answer questions, articulate new processes, and provide creative support with music, design, or tech as needed. Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively to keep the ministry organized. Participate in Sunday programming to create a hospitable environment and support the Associate Families Pastor and Central Resource Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or 2-years' experience in a youth ministry
- Ability to speak effectively before small and large groups
- Proficiency with common office applications and collaboration tools including Google Workspace, Planning Center, Asana, and others
- Comfortable learning new technology, software, and applications
- Live out their personal relationship with Jesus Christ by growing more in His likeness, eager to share and see others come to know true hope
- Demonstrate active engagement as a member of Menlo Church by: Regularly attending and inviting others to services, connecting in community through groups, volunteering in a ministry, and committing to giving to the mission and vision of Menlo Church
- Hold compatible theological beliefs in alignment with the essential tenets of ECO, as outlined on their website
- All offer for employment with Menlo Church are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed the required background checks
- Stand for extended periods
- Walk, bend, twist, kneel, reach or those movements that would be experienced during while working with children
- Hand/eye coordination and dexterity for small objects and office equipment
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds w/o assistance
- This role is part time 20-29hrs per week onsite at our Mt. View campus
- Your manager will schedule your hours generally Sunday-Thursday with an occasional Friday, Saturday, or evening as needed
