Job Summary
Lead newsletter production and growth by curating, editing, building, and scheduling content while ensuring visual and editorial standards. Manage the full workflow from story selection to distribution, collaborating with editorial, design, and revenue teams to optimize acquisition, segmentation, and conversion. Analyze performance data to refine content strategy, improve reader habits, and recommend new newsletter products. Develop acquisition initiatives and monitor key metrics to drive engagement and retention across the portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in digital publishing, media, journalism or a related content environment
- Demonstrated experience producing and distributing newsletters or digital content
- Excellent editing, proofreading, headline-writing and content curation skills
- Highly-organised, flexible and deadline driven
- An excellent writer with a strong grasp of grammar and editorial conventions
- Strong editorial judgement and clarity on what makes content relevant and engaging
- Experience analysing audience data to optimise performance
- Understanding of key newsletter engagement, retention and growth metrics
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
- A solid understanding of Broadsheet's voice, tone and visual style
- A strong interest in digital publishing, newsletters and audience growth
- Based in either Melbourne or Sydney
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with email platforms, content management systems and audience segmentation tools; experience with Braze, Canva and Asana would be advantageous
