Job Summary
WMC-TV is seeking a reporter/MMJ to cover news in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include providing live reports across multiple platforms, creating compelling content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms, covering breaking news, and developing a strong network of sources. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or a related field, have at least two years of multimedia journalism experience, and demonstrate strong writing and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
- At least two years of working as a multimedia journalist
- Outstanding broadcast writing, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Proficiency with AP Style and social media platforms
- Ability to produce well-written, visually compelling stories under tight deadlines
- Strong news judgment
- Must provide a link to samples of recent work
