Job Summary
Write copy, edit video into newscast and web formats, and determine story lineup and timing for each segment. Develop compelling enterprise stories, coordinate field anchoring opportunities, and manage live coverage of special events. Run the assignment desk and present updates on wsaz.com immediately. Work with anchors and reporters on story selection and graphics coordination. Ensure content is clear, concise, and easily understandable by viewers.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work flexible days and hours
- Ability to handle moderate to high stress and deadline pressure
- WSAZ-TV/Gray Media is a drug-free company
Desired Qualifications
- BA in Journalism or related field preferred
