Job Summary
Produce all aspects of assigned newscasts—from story selection and editorial decisions to final delivery—and craft engaging content for broadcast and digital. Write, edit, and produce stories and segments; coordinate with directors, assignment desk, editors, on-air staff, and field crews to manage live shots and supporting materials; drive digital integration to reach audiences across platforms; participate in daily news and production meetings to help shape coverage strategies; adapt to a fast-paced, newsroom environment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field and 3+ years of experience in a medium-to-large market. Proficiency with newsroom computer systems, live production tools, and non-linear editing; strong writing and storytelling abilities; excellent organization and teamwork. Location is in Washington, DC area with in-person office duties and flexibility for newsroom schedules.
Required Qualifications
