Job Summary
Overnight producer for FOX 7 Austin Morning Show (11:00 PM–8:00 AM). Responsible for the overnight development, preparation, and production of content for early-morning newscasts; identify breaking news, develop enterprise and follow-up stories, and prepare content that informs and engages viewers starting their day. Create and manage show rundowns, scripts, teases, and transitions with strong pacing and clarity; write and approve content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms. Coordinate with assignment desk, reporters, and photographers to deploy overnight coverage; build graphics and supers; ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards; meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and editorial standards. Strong writing, storytelling, and newsroom collaboration skills are essential; experience with iNews and BitCentral is a plus. Bachelor’s degree and minimum three years of experience preferred.
