Job Summary
News Intern at KOCO (Oklahoma City ABC affiliate of Hearst Television). You will assist reporters, producers and photographers on shoots, help write vo/spots and packages, log interviews, and write stories for newscasts. Interns will have opportunities to accompany crews in the field and may field produce, participate in researching/gathering information on stories, and assist with coordination of content within the newsroom. The role emphasizes versatility, strong editorial, writing and technical skills, and the ability to react to breaking news while working in a collaborative newsroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified candidates should have a journalism interest, and previous experience – either college classes in journalism or an internship in a local newsroom.
