News Intern, City & State New York

Pitch, report, and write stories covering New York City and state politics, including interviews with candidates for governor, legislative tracking, and holding officials accountable. Support reporters and editors with research on long-term projects and contribute to editorial discussions and pitch meetings. Potential to cover in-person events such as press conferences, hearings, and rallies. You will also contribute to the nonprofit industry vertical through NYN Media. This part-time, paid internship runs 12-20 hours per week for three months beginning in late September 2026, with a hybrid schedule and priority for Tri-state applicants.
