Job Summary
News Editor responsible for producing vertical news videos from conferences, livestreams, weather events, and daily stories; set up livestreams for website, apps, YouTube, and CTV; serve as OBS/vMix operator for livestreams; collaborate with reporters/photographers to craft story-focused visuals and thumbnails/headlines for YouTube; leverage Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Canva) and WordPress to publish engaging content; adapt quickly to a fast-moving news cycle and engage audiences with analytics-driven improvements; capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with availability nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in pitching and assisting on video packages
- Keen eye for dynamic visual design
- Solid news judgment
- Understanding and/or willingness to learn audience engagement analytics
- Skills in Adobe Creative Suite, with some experience in Premiere, Photoshop, and Canva
- WordPress knowledge helpful
- Able to work nights and weekends
