Job Summary
Anchor over multiple hours on WTIC NewsTalk 1080, operating the audio board and delivering top and bottom hour newscasts. Conceptualize, pitch, produce, and record news segments while gathering, writing, recording, editing, and delivering content for live breaking news coverage. Interview news makers, write scripts and ad-lib material, and manage social media engagement across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Contribute audio, video, and written content to WTIC.com, develop and research stories, and protect the station's FCC license. This part-time role requires a dependable self-starter with strong communication skills, flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends, and experience anchoring and writing news.
