Job Summary
Conduct foundational sports producing work by writing scripts, researching teams and stats, logging and timing video, and operating studio tools like prompters and wire services. Assist with interviews, build rundowns, and draft short stories or scripts while gaining on-camera experience when appropriate. Support digital coverage by posting stories, highlights, and recaps to the station's website and using social media to gather story ideas. Shadow anchors, reporters, and digital staff to gain exposure to the full sports operation. This unpaid internship for college credit requires 60 credit hours completed, a 2.75 GPA, and availability up to 16 hours per week during the Fall semester.
Required Qualifications
- GPA of 2.75 or above
- Intern must have completed 60 credit hours toward their degree
- Copy of official transcript must be uploaded with application
- Intern candidates must be self-motivated and work well with others
- Professional dress is expected at all times
- Availability for internship up to 16 hours per week
