Newport Aquarium Events Bartender

Job Summary
Greet guests and provide world-class service as a bartender at Newport Aquarium events. Accurately pour and mix drinks per customer requests and inventory, respond to direction from the Events Management Team, monitor guests’ intoxication levels with safety training, and maintain a safe, clean bar area. Responsibilities include setting up the bar, restocking supplies, maintaining bar equipment, handling money and accurate end-of-event reconciliation, completing open/close inventory, and adhering to core values and safety procedures. Qualifications emphasize strong customer service, ability to perform under high-volume conditions, English literacy, ability to work collaboratively or independently, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a part-time, on-demand role with on-site (Newport, KY) placement.
Required Qualifications
- Strong public speaking skills and customer service experience
- Serv-Safe training or concurrent bartending training a plus
- Newport City Bartending License a plus
- Ability to think on feet in high-stress, high-volume environments
- Willingness to take direction and coaching
- Must read, write, and speak English
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while remaining courteous and helpful
- Flexible schedule including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays
