Newborn Hearing Screen Technician - Per Diem

Job Summary
Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings by evaluating patient readiness, collecting demographics, and performing services on eligible babies during each shift. Provide education to parents regarding the necessity of screening and early intervention, then upload results, billing, and state reporting by the end of the day. Notify supervisors of missed or referred cases and schedule outpatient appointments where appropriate. Ensure all documentation protocols are followed while maintaining confidentiality and treating families with care. This role requires CPR certification, weekend/holiday flexibility, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift)
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
Desired Qualifications
- One to three months of previous experience with newborns and in a medical setting
