Job Summary
Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings by evaluating patient readiness, collecting demographics, and educating parents on early intervention importance. Ensure all documentation protocols are followed, upload results and billing data by shift end, and notify supervisors of missed or referred cases. Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies and maintain accurate data entry while adhering to safety, security, and compliance policies. Work weekends and holidays as required, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift)
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
Desired Qualifications
- One to three months of previous experience with newborns and in a medical setting
