Newborn Hearing Screen Technician - Full Time

Job Summary
Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings, evaluating patient readiness and collecting demographic data for each eligible baby. Conduct education sessions with parents regarding screen relevance and early intervention, ensuring all results are documented and uploaded by shift end. Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies and notify supervisors of missed or final refer cases. Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols, vaccinations, and facility policies while treating families with care. Requires current CPR certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift)
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
Desired Qualifications
- One to three months of previous experience with newborns and in a medical setting
