Job Summary
Lead the Forage and Grain department as Superintendent at the New York State Fair, overseeing planning, coordination, and execution of departmental activities to ensure a safe, educational, and engaging experience for exhibitors and the public. Serve as the primary liaison between exhibitors, judges, and Fair Management; manage judging logistics, department operations, booth presence, and record-keeping for premiums. Recruit and coordinate impartial judges, maintain spaces, ensure safety, and support stakeholders throughout the event, with initial part-time duties and full-time availability required during the 13-day fair. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential.
