Job Summary
The SIU Investigator is responsible for conducting comprehensive investigations into potential fraud and misconduct, utilizing analytical skills and attention to detail. Key tasks include gathering evidence, conducting scene recreations, assessing traffic light sequences, obtaining statements, and compiling detailed reports with time-stamped media. Candidates must have prior experience in insurance-related investigations, reliable technical equipment, and strong communication skills. An ability to work independently and travel as necessary is required.
Required Qualifications
- Background in insurance, including workers' compensation, auto, liability, or similar SIU experience
- Access to a reliable vehicle, computer, and cell phone for investigative purposes
- Proficiency in using a digital video camera with date and time stamp capability
- Ability to maintain a minimum auto insurance coverage of $150,000 / $250,000
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Ability to show documentation for driver history report
- Eligibility for Private Investigator Employee Registration
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with investigative tools and software
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of web-based systems
