Job Summary
Experienced personal injury attorney with a New York license and 5+ years handling plaintiffs' personal injury matters. Manages a caseload from initiation through resolution, conducts legal research, drafts pleadings and motions, oversees depositions and discovery, negotiates settlements with clients and insurance companies, and represents clients in court, mediation, and arbitration. Collaborates with senior attorneys to devise case strategies, stays current on personal injury law and trends, and exhibits strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York State, in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling plaintiffs' personal injury matters, with a focus on New York law
- Proficient litigation skills, including drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and courtroom appearances
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
