NEW YORK - Compositing Supervisor

Job Summary
Lead a team of compositors across one or more projects, providing strong creative and technical direction, and supervising shot creation and finishing. Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, VFX Producers, and Coordinators to implement and execute the client’s vision to the highest standards. Participate in technical and creative calls with directors and clients. Communicate effectively with internal departments to assign tasks under tight deadlines and fast turnaround times. Provide clear feedback while reviewing shots to maintain quality and consistency in large sequences. Ensure quality control and the delivery of high-quality work, troubleshoot technical problems on assigned shots, and strive for excellence in aesthetic and technical output. Take direction from Supervisors, Leads, and VFX Producers to execute the client's vision to the highest standards.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in a VFX studio environment
- Expert level: Nuke/NukeX, Mocha Pro, Photoshop, After Effects
- Strong artistic aptitude for shot composition and look development
- Leadership experience in a VFX production environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Flow (Shotgrid/Shotgun) management software a plus
- Understanding of feature film and television VFX pipelines
- Ability to translate supervisor notes for leads and artists
