Job Summary

Conduct required pre-employment, annual, and biennial driver qualification reviews while administering driver testing, evaluations, and compliance checks. Maintain accurate driver qualification files and monitor compliance status to follow up on missing or expired documentation. Serve as a certified NYS 19-A Examiner to ensure adherence to NYS DMV, SED, and NYC DOE requirements, supporting audits, inspections, and corrective action processes. Prepare compliance reports, schedules, and management reports while entering and retrieving data from fleet and compliance management systems. Communicate with drivers, managers, and internal departments to support safety and operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NYS 19-A Examiner License
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative, office, compliance, transportation, or operations experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in an office and transportation facility environment
  • The role may require walking throughout the facility
  • The role may require accessing filing systems
  • The role may require using standard office equipment
  • The role may require communicating in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis
  • Drug-free workplace
  • Qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance, and any other fair chance law

Desired Qualifications

  • SBDI certification strongly preferred
  • Experience in school transportation, driver compliance, safety training, or regulated transportation operations
  • Experience working with NYS DMV, SED, or NYC DOE compliance requirements
  • Experience using fleet, compliance, HR, or driver management systems
