Job Summary
Clinical leadership in the Emergency Department: coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered nursing care during the shift; directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in collaboration with management; serves as a resource for staff; assists with admissions and discharges to ensure efficient throughput; participates in ongoing quality assessment; collaborates with subject-matter experts to foster teamwork and improved outcomes; supports patient-first philosophy, service recovery, staff scheduling, and inventory control; provides recommendations for interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions; requires ACLS/BCLS, NIHSS, NCI, and ED-focused certifications within specified timelines; ED experience preferred; degree in nursing (AD or BSN) and eligibility for nursing practice in Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
- Emergency Department experience preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
- NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS within 30 days
