Job Summary
The New Store Retail Associate supports the setup, preparation, and opening of new Ollie’s store locations, focusing on merchandising, stocking, fixture setup, signage, pricing, and overall store readiness. Responsibilities include setting up a new store prior to opening, unloading and organizing merchandise, assembling displays, maintaining signage and promotions, keeping the sales floor and stockroom clean and safe, greeting customers, operating the register as needed, supporting merchandising and store maintenance, and communicating customer needs or operational issues to store leadership. Role is aligned to the store opening phase with potential consideration for ongoing store roles based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates.
- Physical requirements: lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 35 pounds; stand for extended periods; bend and twist; see, hear, and speak regularly; grip, reach, and pinch; climb ladders occasionally.
