Job Summary
Assess and report irregular conditions, deter criminal activity by informing violators of rule infractions, and monitor entry of authorized persons to property. Perform unarmed and armed security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle while maintaining clear communication with clients, the public, and law enforcement. Investigate and prepare legible reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities. This As Needed position offers flexible scheduling across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends and summers, with competitive hourly pay ranging from $18.50 to $23.00. Candidates must hold a valid AZ Guard Card, possess U.S. citizenship or work authorization, and meet physical requirements for extended standing, driving, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age depending on final assignment
- Valid AZ Guard Card
- Must be a U.S. citizen, or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must complete any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
- Must complete mandatory company training
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have excellent customer service
- Must have effective communication skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Must speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Must have a professional appearance and attitude
- If prior military, upon job offer, must provide DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated
- Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods (i.e., 90% of shift)
- Able to drive and conduct vehicle patrols if assigned
- Able to work in various environments and temperatures (i.e., rain/snow; extreme heat/cold weather), indoors/outdoors
- Able to occasionally lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- If necessary, climb stairs, ramps, or ladders during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for extended periods
- Weekend availability
