Job Summary
Conduct daily classroom operations by opening and closing duties, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supervising children during transitions, naptime, and restroom breaks. Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans, prepare daily activities, and guide children using positive behavior reinforcement while adhering to Texas Rising Star standards. Manage classroom supplies, complete required forms including incident reports and assessments, and provide individual daily reports to parents. Maintain accurate child counts, coordinate with assistant teachers, and report any child abuse suspicions to Child Protective Service. Engage with families to address concerns and discuss child information professionally.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- 2+ years of Childcare experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass Fingerpriting and Background Check
- CPR, First Aid Certified
- Be available to work during the hours of Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Passion about leading bible lessons
- Passion about prayer
- Passion about sharing the love of Christ with children
- Ability to lift/carry, up to approximately 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to travel by car to/from LifeFamily Learning Center
- Physical mobility and endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for long periods of time (60 minutes or more)
- Visual abilities required
- Ability to stand for 7 or more hours at a time
- Manual dexterity and coordination
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as bending, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and handling of equipment
