Job Summary
Answer new patient questions regarding scheduling, visit expectations, and practitioner information via phone, email, Facebook, or other channels. Create a welcoming first experience by guiding patients through the process of becoming new patients, scheduling initial office visits, and collecting payment. Return calls seeking appointments or additional information, reschedule cancellations or modifications, and send necessary paperwork ensuring completion prior to the appointment. Document all conversations, actions, and follow-ups accurately in the patient record. Maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced environment while speaking with individuals seeking care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience or 2 years of call center experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must speak English fluently
- Must be able to type at least 40 WPM
- Full-time, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Prior experience in patient scheduling, healthcare support, or medical office administration
- Experience working in a patient-facing or customer service–driven role
- Strong ability to learn scheduling systems, workflows, and communication protocols
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate communication style with the ability to support patients during decision-making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
