Job Summary
Schedule new patient consultations using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and coordinate with referring providers to obtain necessary medical records prior to appointments. Process incoming medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA regulations, compile and securely transmit records, and collect payments for applicable invoices. Maintain accurate patient information, documentation, and record release logs while communicating professionally with patients, physicians' offices, and staff. Requires familiarity with EMR systems, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Full-time Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM in Frederick, MD, with relocation required before starting.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office equipment
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office, patient scheduling, or medical records preferred
