Job Summary
Conduct home visits with expectant parents and families with children from prenatal through age three to assess strengths, psychosocial functioning, and risk for child maltreatment. Develop individualized service plans, provide parenting education, and deliver prevention services to at-risk families while coordinating referrals to military and civilian resources. Facilitate parenting classes, playgroups, and support groups to establish a nurturing learning environment. Prepare statistical and narrative reports, maintain accurate case files, and respond to service needs outside standard duty hours. Requires a personal vehicle and Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed registered nurse, licensed clinical social worker, or licensed marriage and family therapist
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
- A minimum of two years of direct experience beyond degree in one or more of the following: Child maltreatment or abuse prevention, Parenting programs, Families experiencing stress or crisis, Domestic or family violence, Dysfunctional couples or high-risk family systems
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- MSW and MFT Licenses must be from one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed registered nurse (RN)
- Must have a personal vehicle for use on the job
- Basic Life Support Certification through the Red Cross or American Heart Association
