Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of 5 operations and customer service professionals to meet KPIs and service standards; oversee airfreight shipments (international and domestic) from booking to delivery while ensuring regulatory compliance (TSA, IATA, customs); coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, trucking companies, and customs brokers; drive SOP improvements to boost efficiency and reduce service failures; maintain strong customer relationships, assist sales/business development with operational expertise, and support branch budgeting and profitability goals.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of freight forwarding experience, with a strong emphasis on airfreight operations
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience managing teams
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and airline operations
- Experience with CargoWise or other freight forwarding software preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
