Job Summary
New Home Sales Counselor responsibilities include achieving and exceeding sales and closing goals, meeting and building rapport with prospective buyers, converting traffic to sales, following up promptly, presenting lender benefits to achieve capture goals, maintaining knowledge of sub-market competition, guiding buyers through design, loan, start, construction, and closing processes, communicating home features and options pricing, utilizing UMH sales technology and customer management software, placing and monitoring on-site signage, and working in a fast-paced sales office environment with travel as needed. Required skills include 2+ years of successful home sales experience, strong communication and customer-service abilities, proficiency with office software, and a valid driver’s license and insurance for business travel.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of high sales performance in new or existing home sales (or similar experience/industry)
- Recent new home sales experience in Colin County, TX
- Entrepreneurial and customer-focused mindset
- Strong demonstration of product demonstration, sales techniques, and quality customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to varying styles while projecting a positive image of the company
- Valid driver's license and insurance for business travel by automobile
- Computer proficiency (Brix and other office business software preferred)
- Travel to various locations for sales activity; willingness to work weekends; ability to lift up to 20 pounds
