Job Summary
Conduct quality reviews on newly built homes by driving to construction sites between 8 am and 3:30 pm to evaluate workmanship, completeness, and professionalism from a customer's perspective. Enter review results electronically on a cellular-enabled tablet upon completion, submitting reports no later than 5 pm. Submit days off to the scheduler at least one week in advance. This part-time 1099 role offers pay ranging from $75 to $90 per review, with an introductory period of 30 to 60 days at a lower rate. No tools, lights, or ladders are required, and roof or attic access is not needed.
Required Qualifications
- Part time, 1099 position
- Driving to construction sites
- Conducting quality reviews on the day it is scheduled
- Work availability between 8 am to 3:30 pm
- Reports submitted on site electronically upon completion of review and no later than 5PM
- Entering review results online using your own tablet
- Access to email while out in the field either though a tablet or phone
- Tablet (Cellular enabled from 2020 model or newer)
- Blue painter's tape
- Hard hat (Required to be worn while on the job site.)
- Detail oriented - able to be thorough and consistent
- Able to recognize defects in a home from a buyer's viewpoint
- Reliable - work must be completed on the scheduled day between 8am - 5pm
- Principled - able to work unsupervised while providing thoroughness and consistency in each home
- Able to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi
- Have experience working with a mobile device and familiar on how to solve minor technical issues that could occur while out in the field
- Able to drive to sites around the area
- Available 4-5 days Monday thru Friday
- Work partial and sometimes full days
- Days off must be given to the scheduler a week or more in advance
Desired Qualifications
- Residential construction experience
- General Contractor/Superintendent/Project Manager
- Familiar with punch list writing or general QC/QA principles
- Home Renovation or Remodeling
- Familiar with fit and finish reviews or warranty walk through with homeowners
