Job Summary
Direct patient care delivery for chronic hemodialysis therapy, including pre- and post-evaluation, access care, and treatment plan adjustments. Supervise Patient Care Technicians and LVNs/LPNs while assessing daily patient needs and managing staff assignments. Provide education on End Stage Renal Disease, vascular access, and medication compliance to patients and families. Monitor laboratory results, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation in the Medical Information System. Ensure facility safety, equipment competency, and adherence to all FMS policies and regulatory standards. Requires obtaining a nursing license within 90 days of hire. Hourly rate $29–$48.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months
- Required to obtain nursing license and registration within the timeline defined by state regulations, or within 90 days of hire, whichever occurs first
- Current appropriate state Temporary Permit
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Capable of working in a challenging environment which requires the ability to handle demanding situations, multitasking, and remaining flexible to changing needs
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift 200 lbs.
- Must be able to lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to bend over
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
