New Graduate Project Engineer I - Transportation Design

Job Summary
Design horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for roadway widening projects while developing 3D models in AutoDesk Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer. Create visualizations for client presentations, prepare detailed plan sheets, and perform roadway and drainage calculations using engineering software. Assist in cost estimates, research open-source GIS data, conduct field observations, and participate in client and contractor meetings to support project delivery. Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and VDOT standards. This role is a full-time position in Raleigh, NC for a new graduate with a civil engineering degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree
- Master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree
- Coursework in transportation/traffic
Desired Qualifications
- EIT
- Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer
- Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D
- Familiarity with VDOT standards and procedures
