Job Summary
Prioritize and schedule cardiac and vascular exams while preparing patients, verifying identification, and transporting them as needed. Perform ultrasound exams consistent with established protocols, ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic outcomes. Accurately document results, apply charge codes, and maintain equipment and work areas. Clean and stock supplies, coordinate repairs, and communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and families throughout the exam process. Return patients to rooms post-exam to ensure stability and safety. This full-time role offers strong clinical exposure at a Level II Trauma Center serving southern Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, featuring a supportive onboarding environment and a collaborative imaging team.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to frequently interact with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication and hearing spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be available for weekend, on-call and holiday coverage
- Must be able to rotate through ten-hour shifts
