Job Summary
Provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg level. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices. Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary partners to optimize patient outcomes. Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-ICU), and support recovery. Participate in huddles, shared governance activities, and unit-based quality improvement initiatives. Join the ICU Stepdown team at Mercy Hospital St. Louis for full-time night shift coverage, with opportunities to advance into ICU, Telemetry, or Behavioral Health within 12–18 months.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current Missouri RN license or compact license
- BLS (American Heart Association)
