RN Resident Med Surg Specialties: New Grad RN Resident in Med Surg specialties through HCA Nurse Residency Program. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition during admissions and shifts, performing procedures and medication administration, documenting care, teaching patients and families, and ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care across units such as Renal/Transplant, Telemetry, Cardiac, Post Surgical, Inpatient Rehab, and more at multiple St. David’s HealthCare facilities in the Austin/Round Rock area. Requires BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 1 year, and RN licensure in Texas; degree in Nursing (Associate or Bachelor’s) and no prior experience required; some travel for training. Mentoring and preceptorship provided; program spans a year-long, structured learning experience to transition from student nurse to registered nurse, with included education sessions, hands-on simulations, and evidence-based practice projects.
