Job Summary
New Grad RN Resident in the Leukemia Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus participates in a one-year Nurse Residency with tailored tracks, collaborates to provide direct nursing care under supervision, and supports prioritization of patient care based on acuity, patient preferences, and resource availability. The role includes responding to patient risk signals, seeking supervision when needed, documenting in medical records, and completing a rotating day/night schedule with weekend and holiday requirements. The program offers growth opportunities, a structured curriculum, coaching, and potential relocation assistance; licensed RNs begin with a supportive pathway into specialized oncology care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
- Cancer-specific certification or ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe of the facility’s accreditation cycle (if they work in medical oncology, radiation oncology, cancer center or administer chemotherapy within an accredited Cleveland Clinic facility)
- ONS Chemo/Bio course completed within two years of hire if employed on units where chemo is administered
